Helps shrink my pores

I don't really have blackheads but I do have large pores and this really helped shrink them. It also made my skin feel soft, refreshed, and clean. It's a very gentle formula, stings sometimes, but not as much as other similar products. It doesn't have a strong scent and the scent is does have smells nice and is light.

sticky feeling at first but will clear on its own, but I find putting on a non clogging moisturizer after pairs well with it. I plan to keep using this daily, and I definitely recommend it. Read Less

How do Pore Release's ingredients function to soften gunk in blackheads so they can be released?

The salicylic acid in Pore Release is the chosen active ingredient since is the preferred & effective solution for treating blackheads. Salicylic acid breaks down the pore clogging materials: excess oil and dead skin cells - it works by dissolving oil.

The key thing to note is that it is not an instant effect but with consistent use, results will show!!

Does Pore Release work the same way as Mighty Patch Nose?

Pore Release is the ideal prep treatment for Mighty Patch Nose since it is able to penetrate and dissolve the oil which would in turn help the patch absorb more gunk.

Mighty Patch Nose naturally absorbs oil and doesn’t affect the skin’s composition. It can help to absorb some blackheads but it will likely take several patches.

The salicylic acid in Pore Release is oil-soluble, it has the ability to get through the surface layers and work on dissolving blackheads/oil.

Can it be used all-over the face?

Yes, this can be used all over the face for exfoliation benefits.

Can it be used with retinol?

Often, using salicylic acid and retinol at the same time can cause irritation. We would not recommend using both together.

Is the color artificial?

No, the color is obtained from blue gardenia, a natural plant extract. Shift in color is normal and expected due to various conditions including, sun exposure, extreme temperatures, and time.
